Floor Care Technician

We are looking for a Floor Care Tech Professional to join the HHM Facility Management team. Our Floor Care Tech Professionals mop, strip, wax and polish hard surface floors and clean carpets to provide excellent service for our customers. Position Summary The Floor Technician will mop, strip, wax, and polish hard surface floors and clean carpets to maintain the facility to the standards set forth in the scope of work developed by the customer. Essential Functions An individual must be able to successfully perform the essential functions of this position with or without a reasonable accommodation. Operate powered floor equipment such as floor buffer, vacuum cleaner, or similar. Performs general cleaning in the common areas of the building. May perform minor repairs and maintenance. Maintains a neat and orderly supply room; ensures cleaning and maintenance supplies are stocked. May perform biohazard cleanup and trash removal. Move furniture, use powered equipment such as golf carts, vacuum cleaners, leaf blowers, and fogging machines. Assists in examining the facility for safety hazards; additional services that are needed, reports deficiencies to supervisor. Responsible to secure keys and security badges issued. Maintain customer and company confidentiality. Maintain professional and courteous relationship with coworkers and the customer. May travel to several customer locations within the day. Performs other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Knowledge of safety hazards and proper use of various cleaning and sanitizing solutions. Detail-oriented and thorough. Ability to perform basic repairs and operate tools or equipment used in routine maintenance. High school diploma or equivalent required. One year of floor care experience. Valid Driver's License required. Physical Activities The following physical activities are necessary to perform one or more essential functions of this position. Prolonged periods of standing, walking, crouching. Must be able to lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, reach, push, pull, and lift 50 pounds. May be subjected to varying levels of noise, air quality, lighting, and exposure to the elements. Will have contact with biohazardous materials and chemicals commonly used in the janitorial industry Will have contact with latex products including gloves.
