  • 8:30 PM Summary Join the team at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital and play an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
As a Floor Care Technician, you will help ensure hospital floors and public areas are maintained to the highest cleanliness and safety standards. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in maintaining clean environments, and wants to be part of a respected healthcare organization. Environmental Services team members are essential to supporting infection prevention, safety, and overall patient satisfaction throughout the hospital. Does this position require Patient Care? No Essential Functions Sweeps, mops, waxes, strips, and polishes floors throughout the hospital Vacuums and shampoos carpets in assigned areas Dusts and polishes furniture, woodwork, fixtures, and equipment Washes walls, ceilings, woodwork, door panels, windows, sills, blinds, and door glass Empties, cleans, and sanitizes waste receptacles in assigned areas Cleans and sanitizes restroom facilities and fixtures including sinks, urinals, toilets, mirrors, walls, and drinking fountains; replenishes restroom supplies as needed Picks up debris around hospital buildings and grounds Operates and controls high and low-speed stripping and buffing machines Sets up tables, chairs, and equipment for hospital events and daily operations Identifies and reports building maintenance or safety concerns in assigned areas Maintains hospital cleanliness, infection prevention, and safety standards at all times Provides courteous and professional customer service to patients, visitors, and staff Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous housekeeping, floor care, environmental services, or custodial experience preferred, but not required Ability to operate floor care equipment or willingness to learn Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong attention to detail and reliability Ability to lift, push, and pull equipment and supplies as needed Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift Why Join Wentworth-Douglass Hospital?
