Flooring Installer:

Duties:

• Install various types of flooring materials, including carpet, hardwood, LVP, sheet vinyl, and tile
• Measure and cut flooring materials to fit specific areas
• Prepare subfloors by removing old flooring, leveling surfaces, and repairing any damage
• Install underlayment and moisture barriers as needed
• Lay out flooring patterns and designs according to blueprints or customer preferences
• Secure flooring materials using adhesives, nails, staples, or other appropriate methods
• Trim and finish flooring edges using hand tools
• Clean up work area and remove any debris or waste materials

Skills:

• Experience as a carpenter or maintenance person is preferred
• Knowledge of fixture installation, construction painting, caulking, concrete finishing, and blueprint reading is a plus
• Proficient in using hand tools such as saws, drills, hammers, and tape measures
• Detail-oriented with the ability to accurately measure and cut flooring materials
• Strong problem-solving skills to address any issues or challenges during installation
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
