Food and Beverage Manager Cottage Park Yacht Club Winthrop, MA Job Details Full-time $70,000 - $90,000 a year 1 hour ago Benefits Paid time off Qualifications Operations management Restaurant management Organizational skills Food service management Hospitality management Full Job Description This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Club and/or Hospitality Manager/Professional with proven food & beverage management and operational skills to run and manage all aspects of the Club's Food and Beverage operations, including oversight of the restaurant, as well as catering in the club's large banquet hall. The person who fills this role will report directly to the Board of Directors or its designee and work closely with Board's Restaurant Subcommittee. We are looking for a high energy individual, a good manager, marketer, and communicator who enjoys interacting with members and their guests during our daily dinner service, weekend lunch service, and private events.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS
Oversee day to day operations of the restaurant in coordination with the lead cook. Promote, oversee and manage all Third Party Function and Clubhouse Hall rentals, including Club sanctioned caterers. Hire, train, and supervise food and beverage service staff. Provide on the floor supervision of staff during lunch and dinner service hours. Full responsibility for Front of the House purchasing, inventory, and cost controls. Update menus and beverage lists, both content and pricing. Interact with and assist Club Committees with their activities as it relates to maintenance, use, and occupancy of the Club facilities and services (Internal events, meetings etc.) Work closely with Board's Restaurant Subcommittee on operations, budgeting, catering, marketing and promotions. In cooperation with the House Committee, provide oversight of Club general maintenance and ensure Club cleanliness Ensure compliance with all State and Local laws regarding the serving of alcoholic beverages and prepared foods. Provide Reporting, payroll tracking, and budgetary control. Meet or exceed budgets set by the BOD Ensure proper policy and procedures for successful Club operations including banquets, special events, and function hall rentals. Provide for proper Club communication to members and staff as it relates to the day to day operations of the restaurant through multiple channels, including email, text, Facebook and other social media platforms. Interact with members and guests.
EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION
Specialty/Technical Training:
2 or 4 year college degree preferred 3 years or more related experience within the club and/or hospitality industry Extensive knowledge of banquet, restaurant, and kitchen operations Supervisory or personnel management skills Solid time management, organization and prioritization skills Proficient and comfortable with Toast, Excel, and Word. Comfortable drafting and posting engaging posts to social media platforms.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
