Food Manufacturing Technician

Job Title:

Manufacturing Technician Job Description We are seeking a Manufacturing Technician who will start by training on the 1st shift, from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, and then transition to the 2nd shift, from 1:00 pm to 9:30 pm. The technician will operate equipment to accurately utilize raw ingredient materials in a precise manner to create flavor products. Responsibilities Operate equipment to accurately utilize raw ingredient materials for creating flavor products. Ensure understanding and adherence to all safety, quality, and operational procedures relevant to the role. Utilize tools and electronic/computer systems for compounding and container filling. Use computer, scan gun, or other tools and processes to correctly match ingredients to shop orders. Follow production, safety, quality, and operational procedures to verify and record information during the production process. Ensure proper ventilation and use of safety equipment. Develop understanding of Quality Control requirements for sampling, product testing, and swabbing of equipment. Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills 1-2 years of manufacturing or production experience, ideally in a pharmaceutical, food, or nutraceutical environment. Knowledge of machine operating and production. Strong emphasis on safety. Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math skills, including ratios and weighing of products. Knowledge of FDA/GMP regulations. Ability to follow procedures and directions to properly identify products and follow formulas. Ability to read, write, and understand English. Ability to lift 50-75+ lbs on a regular basis. Additional Skills & Qualifications Bilingual in Spanish is a plus. Motivation and a good attitude. Capability to learn quickly. Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is based in a flavor and fragrances manufacturing company, specializing in sweet flavors such as strawberry, root beer, and peanut butter. With only 15 people currently on the team, you will need to be able to work independently and take initiative. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rancho Cucamonga, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
