Position SummaryThe Food Runner at the Beach House is responsible for delivering food to guests quickly and accurately while supporting servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth, efficient service. This role plays a key part in maintaining presentation standards and creating a positive dining experience in a busy indoor and outdoor beachfront restaurant. This is a great seasonal position!!Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesDeliver food from kitchen to guests promptly and accuratelyVerify orders for accuracy, quality, and presentation before leaving the kitchenCommunicate with kitchen and front-of-house teams to maintain service flowAssist servers with table maintenance and guest requestsDescribe menu items when delivering food as neededMaintain cleanliness and organization of expo lines and service stationsAssist with running beverages, clearing tables, and resetting dining areasSupport opening, closing, and side work dutiesFollow all food safety and sanitation standardsProvide friendly, professional guest interaction at all timesQualificationsPrevious restaurant or food service experience preferred but not requiredAbility to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environmentStrong communication and teamwork skillsPositive attitude and willingness to learnDependable and punctualFlexible availability including weekends, evenings, and holidaysFood Handler certification required (or ability to obtain)Work EnvironmentIndoor dining room and open-air beachfront restaurant spacesFast-paced resort setting with high seasonal guest volumeExposure to heat, humidity, sun, and changing outdoor weather conditionsFrequent movement between kitchen and dining areasPhysical RequirementsStand and walk for extended periods (8+ hours per shift)Frequently carry trays and plates up to 30 lbsLift and move items up to 40 lbs occasionallyBend, reach, twist, stoop, and kneel throughout shiftsWalk quickly between indoor and outdoor service areasMaintain stamina during busy meal periodsNavigate crowded dining areas and uneven outdoor surfaces safelyContinuous use of hands and arms for carrying and serving tasksEOE M/D/F/V
