Job Overview Join our vibrant team as a Food Runner/Expo, where your energy and attention to detail will ensure our guests experience seamless, delicious dining moments! In this dynamic role, you'll be the vital link between the kitchen and the dining area, delivering hot, fresh dishes with enthusiasm and precision. Your proactive communication and hospitality skills will elevate guest satisfaction and support our culinary team in creating memorable experiences. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow within a lively restaurant environment that values teamwork, food safety, and exceptional service. Duties Capable of Carrying a Tray, lifting up to 40lbs, memorization of table numbers and seat positions. Adhereance to food quality and food safety Efficiently deliver prepared food from the kitchen to tables or designated service areas, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met. Assist in plating and garnishing dishes to uphold quality and visual appeal before serving. Communicate clearly with kitchen staff regarding order readiness, special requests, or modifications using systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS. Support the dining team by bussing tables, clearing plates, and maintaining a clean service environment to enhance guest comfort. Ensure food safety standards are followed during handling and delivery processes to promote guest health and satisfaction. Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to coordinate timely food delivery during busy service periods. Assist in food preparation tasks when needed, supporting the culinary team with basic cooking or setup duties. Experience Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for hospitality is key! Familiarity with food handling, serving, and basic food safety procedures enhances your effectiveness in this role. Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus for efficient communication of orders. Banquet or hotel experience can be advantageous for managing high-volume or specialized service settings. Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude are essential for delivering exceptional guest experiences. Kitchen or culinary experience supports understanding of food presentation and timing but is not mandatory. A background in hospitality or guest services demonstrates your ability to create welcoming atmospheres and handle diverse guest needs confidently.
