As a Food Service Coordinator at Horizon, you will… Prepare meals for patients and prep items for later service Attend to appearance, quality, and proper portioning of all menu items Maintain a clean and safe working environment, including equipment, dishwashing, kitchen/storage areas, refrigeration/freezer spaces, and dining areas Adhere to FDA, USDA, State, and County safe food handling procedures Maintain proper documentation of temperatures, meal counts, and production sheets Project a positive attitude and exemplary customer service when interacting with employees, visitors, and patients Clearly and effectively communicate with coworkers, patients, and residents Demonstrate the ability to work and adapt to change in a fast-paced environment Follow a four-week cycle menu and assist with seasonal modifications Manage daily kitchen operations Ensure patients receive meals that meet appropriate dietary needs Coordinate weekly menus Oversee staff and scheduling to provide quality meals three times per day Manage food ordering and inventory control within the approved budget Produce and serve food items for residents Collaborate with the Food Service Director to ensure all duties are performed effectively Why choose Horizon to build your career? Here are a few specifics of what you'll need for the job: High School Diploma or equivalent required. 2 years working in reception-style setting, long-term care setting, or similar facility required. ServSafe Food Handler certification preferred. CPR/First Aid certified preferred. Ordering and inventory management experience preferred Strong organizational and communication skills.

This position is located at 6331 Inducon Dr E, Sanborn NY.

Hours:

This is a full-time position. Work shifts range between the hours of 6 AM - 6 PM. Must have weekend and holiday availability (if your shift falls on a holiday, you will be paid time and a half). If your shift falls on a holiday you will receive a floating holiday to use at a later date along with time and a half. Compensation Horizon is consistently evaluating our compensation and benefit packages to ensure we remain competitive. The range of pay for this position is $22.00-$23.00. Starting pay may be impacted based on experience and education. Compensation adjustments are evaluated annually. Physical demands associated with this position include: Stationary posture, alternating between standing and sitting. Mobility required with repetitive wrist, hand, and finger movements. Frequent use of kitchen tools and appliances. Occasionally lifting objects up to 50 pounds.
