DUTIES DESCRIPTION
The Food Service Worker 1 incumbents assist with meal preparation for Camp Wilton, following the directions of the Cook responsible for the food preparation, and serves and maintains the food for consumption. Additionally, the Food Service Worker 1 assists the counselors with the monitoring of diets to ensure that the campers' dietary needs are being met according to their dietary plan. Following meals, the FoodService Workers 1 are responsible for the cleaning of the foodpreparation area, running the dishwasher, providing 3 meals plussnacks to campers and staff, maintaining sanitary conditions inthe kitchen and dining hall, and other duties as assigned. Thepositions are temporary.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
Must exercise a considerable amount of independent judgementin performing duties. The Lifeguard is expected to makedecisions and apply various procedures, rules, regulations, andguidelines. Must be able to act quickly and instinctively to detect and deter activities that are potentially hazardous. Must be able to work collaboratively with staff and the individuals. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be 18 years of age and eligible to work in New York State Preference is given to individuals with education or experience in food service or programs for individuals with developmental disabilities. All candidates will be subject to a criminal background check. Additional Comments
ADDITONAL COMMENTS
  • If you are employed by state government you may be able to receive loan forgiveness under the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF).

Paid Holidays and Leave:
