Job Description
Discover a more connected career At Lambert's Cable, as a Foreman of Telecom Aerial Equipment, you will lead teams responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of aerial telecom infrastructure. This role requires expertise in aerial fiber and telecom systems, ensuring project efficiency, coordinating crew activities, and maintaining strict adherence to safety and quality standards. What you'll do Lead and supervise a team of telecom laborers and aerial equipment operators to complete fiber optic and telecom line installation, repair, and maintenance Coordinate daily tasks, assign responsibilities, and monitor team performance to meet deadlines and quality standards Operate aerial equipment such as bucket trucks, pole climbers, and lifts as needed for complex or priority tasks Read and apply blueprints, specifications, and job plans to ensure accurate aerial telecom installation Conduct safety briefings and enforce compliance with all federal, state, and company safety regulations for working at heights Inspect job sites for hazards and implement corrective measures to maintain a safe work environment Communicate project updates, challenges, and progress to supervisors and stakeholders Oversee site restoration by ensuring proper cleanup and secure installation of telecom lines and equipment Resolve issues related to aerial telecom installation, utility conflicts, or equipment operation in real-time Train and mentor team members to enhance skills and job performance What you'll need Must be 18 years of age or older Authorization to work in the United States High school diploma or GED equivalent 5 years of experience operating and maintaining aerial telecom equipment and supervising crews Valid state driver's license with two years of driving experience and an acceptable record Three years of experience in aerial telecom equipment operation, with at least one year in a leadership role Ability to read and interpret blueprints, job plans, and specifications for aerial telecom projects Strong ability to work both independently and as part of a team Willing to work overtime, weekends, and extended hours as needed Capable of working safely in all weather conditions, including extreme temperatures and high winds Self-motivated with strong communication and leadership skills Physical abilities & exposures
Routinely:
operates vehicles and heavy machinery; occasionally uses a ladder, squeezing and repetitive/fine hand motions; occasionally uses a keyboard and mouse, works with arms above shoulder level, repetitive bending and stooping, standing and walking, climbing stairs, able to lift greater than 55 pounds, works in confined spaces alone in remote locationsOccasionally:
