Description Lutheran Social Services of Wisconsin & Upper Michigan (LSS) is seeking a mission‑driven Forensic Coordinator to support adults involved in the criminal justice system through our Outpatient Competency Restoration Program (OCRP) and Conditional Release Program . If you're passionate about helping individuals rebuild their lives, navigate complex systems, and access the support they need, this is a powerful opportunity to make a difference. About the Programs Outpatient Competency Restoration Program (OCRP) Work with adults adjudicated not competent to stand trial but likely to regain competency. You'll apply your knowledge of Wis. Stat. 971.14 , meet with clients in the community and jail settings, and collaborate with legal, clinical, and community partners. Conditional Release Program Support individuals found not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect. You'll provide professional testimony, prepare court documents, and apply your understanding of Wis. Stat. 971.17 while partnering with institutions, courts, and community providers. What You'll Do As a Forensic Coordinator, you'll play a key role in helping clients stabilize, access services, and move toward independence.
Your work may include:
Conducting assessments and reassessments using required tools Developing individualized service plans with clients and their support networks Coordinating and authorizing services aligned with each client's goals Applying knowledge of community resources, casework principles, and human behavior Facilitating person‑centered team meetings Maintaining accurate, timely documentation Providing recommendations within your scope of practice Testifying in legal proceedings as required Collaborating with service teams, supervisors, and community partners Managing a flexible schedule based on client needs Every day brings new challenges and opportunities to support clients on their path to stability and success. You'll need the ability to move through various settings, respond calmly in crisis situations, and maintain professionalism in dynamic environments.Conditions of employment:
Must reside in Wisconsin or Upper Michigan for payroll purposes. Must be authorized to work in the United States. LSS does not currently provide visa sponsorship.
