• Job Summary:

• The Forklift Operator has the responsibility for receiving and moving materials within the warehouse and loading and unloading materials. The position will assist with inventory quantity and assists in inventory level maintenance, maintains complete and accurate paperwork, and operates warehouse equipment in a safe manner.

• Responsibilities:

• + Marks pallets with identifying information.

+ Uses lift equipment (manual pallet jack and Forklift equipment - customer will certify as needed once training and certification are completed onsite). + May use a hand-held radio frequency device (RF Scanner). + Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, instructions, and procedure manuals. + Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. + Prepare pulleys and take ups for shipment. + Operate forklift to load and unload trucks. + Use bander to secure shipped goods to customer. + Unload steel trucks as necessary. + Operate hoist to load and unload trucks. + Assist in loading and unloading flat bed trucks. + Serve as back-up to shipping supervisor.

Is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach with arms, talk and hear.

• Requirements
• + •MUST•be Forklift Certified or have 1-2 years experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse environment.

+ High School diploma or GED equivalent required.

M-F:
