Job Title:
Material Handler with Forklift Experience Job Description Join a dynamic team in Wheeling, Illinois, specializing in manufacturing custom corrugated cardboard packaging solutions. Our operations focus on quality and precision, serving various industries with made-to-order packaging designed for protection, shipping efficiency, and product presentation. Responsibilities Operate material handling equipment, primarily a sit-down forklift, to move materials and finished goods. Review printed pick lists and verify inventory availability in the warehouse. Ensure correct tagging and labeling of all inventory. Hand count inventory on the warehouse floor. Verify quantities and labels match physical inventory. Perform basic computer and general data entry tasks. Cross check parts and materials against pick lists for accuracy. Maintain mistake-free work with strong attention to detail. Support overall accuracy and efficiency within the Shipping & Receiving department. Essential Skills Proficiency in operating sit-down forklifts with 3+ years of experience. 1+ year of inventory management experience. Competency in basic computer and data entry operations. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in shipping and receiving, material handling, and packing. Knowledge of order picking and reach truck operations. Strong attendance record is essential. The job operates Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 4 PM. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wheeling, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
