  • Part-time Job Summary We're seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Front Desk Night Auditor to join our service team at Petit Ermitage , hotel known for its warmth, charm, and elevated guest experience.
The Front Desk Night Auditor is responsible for overseeing front desk operations during overnight hours while ensuring accurate balancing of daily financial transactions and providing exceptional guest service. This role serves as both the overnight guest service representative, assists with In-Room Dining Orders, and the final checkpoint for the day's hotel accounting processes. This position requires strong attention to detail, a high level of integrity, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate is comfortable working overnight shifts, demonstrates excellent customer service skills, and maintains accuracy while managing both guest-facing duties and financial auditing responsibilities. Responsibilities Greet guests, answer questions, and quickly respond to all requests in a well-spoken, thoughtful, friendly and helpful manner; thank guests for staying with us at every opportunity. Verify guest room requirements and pre-registration details, assign rooms, obtain necessary information and signatures, issue room keys, and accurately enter guest account information into hotel systems. Accurately process cash and credit card transactions in accordance with established procedures, including posting charges, completing cashier reports, preparing deposits, and balancing and securing assigned banks. Maximize hotel revenue by upselling rooms when appropriate, staying informed on hotel and restaurant promotions, menus, and events, and engaging guests to ensure satisfaction throughout their stay. Assist guests with room locations, hotel amenities, and inquiries regarding services, internet access, fitness center, entertainment, shopping, and transportation. Enter and manage reservations within hotel systems by verifying availability, confirming guest requirements, and adhering to the hotel's yield management practices. Adhere to all hotel safety, security, loss prevention, and emergency procedures, actively participate in safety drills and assignments, and promote safety and security practices to guests. Respond professionally to guest requests, utilize effective service recovery techniques, support team goals, provide personalized service, and take ownership of responsibilities. Communicating any guest requests or issues to Supervisor, Manager or other departments that require further care to guests' complete satisfaction. Complete all night audit processes accurately and consistently. Support In-Room Dining operations by accurately taking guest orders and ensure orders are delivered in a timely and professional manner to guest rooms. Other duties as assigned. What We're Looking For Minimum one year of experience as a Night Auditor or in a related role within guest services, front desk operations, or the hospitality industry is preferred. Friendly, confident, and professional demeanor. Strong communication and people skills. Ability to remain calm and composed in busy environments. Team-oriented mindset and willingness to support operations. Monitor guest flow to ensure safety, comfort, and adherence to service standards. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to bend, push, pull, stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, or telephone. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10-25 pounds. Standing or walking during entire 8-hour or longer shifts. Flexible scheduling availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
