Casa Madera has locations in Toronto and West Hollywood, each offering its own interpretation of this coastal Mexican escape. Job Summary The Host serves as the first point of contact for guests and plays a critical role in setting the tone for an elevated dining experience. This position is responsible for managing reservations, coordinating dining room flow, and seating guests thoughtfully to ensure a smooth and balanced service. The Host maintains a clean and organized host stand while providing warm, professional, and attentive service, ensuring guests feel welcomed and cared for throughout their visit. Key Responsibilities Coordinate guest seating and manage dining room flow to support efficient and consistent service Manage reservations and answer incoming calls, providing accurate information and setting appropriate guest expectations Maintain awareness of guest preferences, special occasions, dietary restrictions, and special accommodations Ensure the host area and surrounding spaces are clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety standards Deliver professional and attentive guest service by anticipating the needs of both guests and team members Complete assigned administrative and preparatory tasks, including morning setup duties Qualifications Maintain a clean, polished, and professional appearance Strong multitasking skills with a proactive and dependable work ethic Previous experience in a guest-facing or customer service role preferred Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays Ability to stand for the duration of assigned shifts and lift up to 35 pounds We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and consider all qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, sexual orientation, or gender identity), national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law.
