Position Overview We're seeking a warm, organized Front Desk Attendant/Check-In Clerk to be the welcoming face of our Zen Den. This crucial role sets the tone for our PAWrents' experience and ensures smooth operations throughout the day. The ideal candidate will combine exceptional customer service with efficient administrative skills while sharing our passion for pet wellness and happiness. The ideal candidate is one who is looking for a long-term career in the pet grooming salon industry as we are growing and training staff for future locations. Key Responsibilities Warmly welcome pets and PAWrents by name, creating an immediate sense of belonging Manage appointment scheduling, check-ins, and check-outs with attention to detail Conduct thorough intake interviews to understand each pet's needs, history, and PAWrent preferences Communicate effectively with groomers and boarding staff about special pet requirements Answer phones and respond to inquiries with knowledge and enthusiasm about our services Process payments and maintain accurate financial records Manage retail sales of our organic pet treats, supplies, and pet fashions Maintain the reception area's calming atmosphere through proper lighting, sound, and aromatherapy Update pet records with new information regarding health, behavior, or preferences Coordinate with other staff to ensure smooth transitions between services Address PAWrent concerns with empathy and find solutions that maintain our high standards Assist with social media and community outreach when appropriate Qualifications Genuine love for animals and natural ability to make both pets and people feel welcome Previous customer service experience, preferably in a pet-related or wellness environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail Proficiency with scheduling software and point-of-sale systems Ability to multitask while maintaining a calm, positive demeanor Knowledge of or willingness to learn about pet wellness, grooming, and boarding Professional appearance and friendly disposition Reliability and punctuality - you're the first impression of our business!
