Job Description

Ina A. Colen Academy is a tuition-free public charter school of choice located in the Calesa Township Community in Marion County, Florida. Founded in 2020, Ina A. Colen Academy serves students in kindergarten through 8th grade. Along with the school's mission to cultivate passionate learners in an inclusive school community in which individuality and empathy for other through collaboration and active learning, its passionate team of teachers has contributed to the achievement of a Grade "A" for three academic years in a row! The Ina A. Colen Academy is seeking a professional, organized, and customer-service-oriented Front Desk Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for students, families, staff, and visitors. This position plays a vital role in supporting daily school operations by providing administrative assistance, managing front office communications, and maintaining a welcoming and secure environment.creates a value added experience for staff and parents.
Essential Functions:
Greet and assist students, parents, visitors, and staff in a courteous and professional manner Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and front office inquiries Maintain student attendance records and assist with student sign-in/sign-out procedures Support school administration with clerical and administrative tasks Manage incoming and outgoing mail, deliveries, and office supplies Maintain confidentiality of student and employee information Assist with scheduling, filing, data entry, and document preparation Support school events and daily operational needs as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
Ability to read, write & understand written directions. Knowledge of on-site protocols, operational procedures, and safety policies Excellent observational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to multi-task
Minimum Job Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required Prior receptionist, administrative, or school office experience preferred Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced school environment Professional demeanor and strong customer service skills
