Job Description
At Pathways For Change, we believe the front desk sets the emotional tone for the entire client experience. We are seeking a warm, organized, dependable Front Desk Receptionist, Client Greeter, and Therapist Support Staff, who can help children, teens, parents, and families feel welcomed, calm, and supported from the moment they walk through our doors. This role is ideal for someone who is friendly, emotionally intuitive, detail-oriented, and able to balance compassion with professionalism in a fast paced outpatient mental health setting.
Responsibilites:
Warmly greet clients, parents, and visitors upon arrival Help create a calm, welcoming, child-friendly office atmosphere Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism and warmth Schedule and confirm appointments Manage therapist schedules and room flow throughout the day Assist families with intake paperwork and office questions Collect copays and maintain accurate front desk records Monitor and respond to emails and voicemail messages Communicate effectively with therapists and administrative staff Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance at all times Help keep waiting rooms and front office areas clean, organized, and inviting Assist with light administrative and clerical tasks as neededIdeal Candidate:
Friendly, approachable, emotionally mature Strong communication and customer service skills Comfortable working with children, teens, and families Able to remain calm under pressure and multitask effectively Highly reliable, punctual, and organized Strong attention to detail Comfortable using computers, scheduling systems, emails, and office technology Previous medical office, counseling office, pediatric, or customer service experience preferredQualifications:
High school diploma required Previous receptionist or administrative experience preferred Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, pediatric or counseling settings is a plus Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentialityPosition Details:
Part-time Primarily afternoon evening hours (1-6pm, or 2pm-7pm) Supportive team environmentAbout Pathways For Change:
