Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival, managing reservations and seating arrangements using OpenTable or similar systems. Provide attentive table service, including taking orders, upselling menu items, and delivering food and beverages efficiently. Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate order entry and cash handling. Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met. Manage guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring an enjoyable dining experience. Support food industry best practices by adhering to sanitation protocols, proper food handling procedures, and safety regulations. Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate timely service during busy nights or events like nightclub nights or special occasions. Skills Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, including host/hostess roles or serving positions. Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; familiarity with OpenTable is a plus. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport quickly and handle guest interactions professionally. Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods while maintaining quality service. Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest experience and increase sales. Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and transaction processing. Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures in the food industry.
