Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Front Office Assistant to join our compassionate team. In this vital role, you will be the welcoming face of our organization, managing patient interactions, coordinating appointments, and supporting administrative functions with enthusiasm. Your proactive approach will help ensure smooth clinic operations while delivering exceptional patient service in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression. Verify patient insurance coverage and perform insurance eligibility checks using systems like Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, and other EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems. Schedule patient appointments accurately utilizing medical scheduling software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Manage multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette, directing calls efficiently and courteously. Assist with medical documentation review, including intake forms, care plans, and medical records management. Perform insurance verification and process billing tasks related to medical collection efforts. Maintain organized filing of medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality. Experience Prior clinic or medical office experience is highly preferred, especially within dental or hospital settings. Demonstrated proficiency in EMR systems such as Epic, Meditech, eClinicalWorks, or Athenahealth. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding, and Medicare procedures. Experience with medical billing, insurance verification, and documentation review processes. Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively. Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with dental office management software like Eaglesoft or Dentrix is advantageous.
