In this role, you will be the first point of contact, providing exceptional customer service while efficiently handling transactions. Your culinary experience and food industry knowledge will support food preparation and ensure smooth operations at the counter. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, friendly environment dedicated to delivering quality food and memorable service. Duties Greet customers warmly and assist with menu selections, ensuring a positive experience from start to finish Operate POS systems accurately for order processing and cash handling Prepare simple food items, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards Manage cash register operations, including cash handling, credit card transactions, and issuing receipts Upsell menu items to enhance sales and maximize customer satisfaction Maintain cleanliness of the front counter area, including bussing tables and sanitizing surfaces Support food preparation tasks as needed, collaborating with kitchen staff to ensure timely service Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures Assist in inventory management by monitoring supplies and notifying management of shortages Skills Prefer proven experience in food service, quick service, or fast-food restaurant environments, but not required, Will provide training Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and order accuracy Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, and food safety standards in the food industry Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods smoothly Experience with serving, bussing tables, or working in a café or grocery store setting is a plus Ability to work collaboratively with team members in a retail or restaurant environment Join us and be part of a vibrant team committed to delivering excellent service while honing your skills in the food industry.
