Job Description
STOCK CREW LEAD
Reports to :Store Manager & Assistant Manager Classification :
Non-Exempt, Full-TimeJOB SUMMARY
To provide exceptional customer service and maximize sales by efficiently executing Farm & Home Supply Gold Standards of Operational Excellence, while leading a team to ensure freight merchandise is accurately stocked and properly displayed on the sales floor.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Split and stock freight from all incoming freight trucks. Maintain and organize the stockroom and backroom areas. Review Bills of Lading to identify large shipments and advertised items. Safely stage freight on the sales floor prior to Stock Crew shifts. Identify new merchandise, store transfers, rain checks, and special orders from incoming freight. Assign work areas to Stock Crew Members based on freight volume and department needs. Inspect freight for damage and report improper pallet loading to the Distribution Center Manager. Ensure proper product rotation and provide coaching when procedures are not followed. Verify merchandise is stocked correctly by matching manufacturer numbers to shelf labels. Remove damaged merchandise from the sales floor as needed. Load return trailers with empty pallets, totes, mail, and store transfers. Assemble merchandise, work backstock, and complete special projects on non-truck days. Train Stock Crew Members on the safe operation of pallet jacks and tow motors. Coach team members on freight handling and stocking procedures across departments. Follow company merchandising standards and operational guidelines. Maintain a safe, clean work environment while following loss prevention and safety procedures. Attend store and job-related meetings as required. Maintain flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.JOB REQUIREMENTS
Advanced understanding of retail operations with 2+ years of retail experience preferred. Knowledge of Farm & Home Supply products and merchandise across multiple categories. Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems preferred. Ability to learn and operate the company's ERP system as needed. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Commitment to contributing to a positive and productive workplace culture. Ability to operate computers and commonly used retail equipment. Ability to stand and work on feet for extended periods of time.Other Duties:
