Videos Duties Help As a Museum Technician, you will perform the following duties: Unpacks objects and processes them (e.g., cleans, identifies, repacks, labels and preserves objects). Calogs objects; entering da into the designed calog program. Prepares, maintains, and organizes manual and automed curorial records including accession records, calog records, loan forms, and donion forms. Performs routine research for calog records, exhibits and other purposes as assigned. Implements museum environmental monitoring program (e.g., ghering da, maintaining monitoring equipment, preparing da record). Assists with installion, repair and rehabilition of exhibits. Provides informion to ors, researchers, and park staff. Performs clerical operions in support of the curorial operion. Requirements Help Conditions of employment U.S. Citizenship required. At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-04 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or prive sectors). Successful completion of least possess four years of educion above high school leading to a bachelor's degree with major study or 24 hours of course work in a major subject such as: art, history, museum studies, scientific subjects, or other courses reled to the position (60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours). Combinions of successfully completed educion and specialized experience may be used to meet total experience requirements.
