Full Charge Bookkeeper

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our organization. This pivotal role involves managing comprehensive accounting functions, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, and supporting the overall financial health of the company. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in bookkeeping, including general ledger management, payroll processing, and financial reporting, with a strong understanding of accounting standards such as GAAP and SOX compliance. Duties Oversee all aspects of bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations. Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and compliant with accounting standards. Prepare detailed financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports. Manage payroll processing using systems ensuring timely and accurate employee payments. Handle tax filings and compliance requirements in accordance with governmental regulations. Utilize accounting software such as MAS90 to record transactions and generate reports. Conduct month-end and year-end closing procedures with precision to support audits and financial analysis. Perform account analysis and account reconciliation to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly. Assist with budgeting processes, financial forecasting, and variance analysis. Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations of financial data. Maintain meticulous data entry practices using 10 key typing skills and double-entry bookkeeping methods. Qualifications Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or in a similar comprehensive accounting role. Strong proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, or similar platforms. Extensive knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), governmental accounting standards, and technical accounting practices. Experience with financial concepts including balance sheet reconciliation, account analysis, journal entries, debits & credits. Demonstrated ability to perform account reconciliation accurately and efficiently. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; capable of managing multiple priorities effectively. Strong analytical skills combined with good math aptitude for accurate data entry and account analysis. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
