Full Time and Part Time Afternoon Lead Teacher - Early Childhood Education

Parkwood Day School is hiring a full-time twos teacher for our early education program partnership with Eudora United Methodist Church! Hours would range from 20-30 hours per week, dependent on the needs of the program. A typical shift for this position will be approximately 12:30-5:30. The individuals selected for teaching positions at Parkwood Day School at EUMC should have a desire to work with children, families, and staff members in the field of Early Childhood Education. The applicant must be a responsible individual that is emotionally and physically able to perform daily duties and relate well with others. We offer competitive pay for all staff, benefit choice and PTO after 60 days for full-time employees. Qualifications for

Full Time Lead Teachers:

• Preferred 6 months+ experience as a lead teacher in a licensed center.
• Preferred CDA, AA, or BA in Early Childhood Education or a related field, or have a working plan to complete a Bachelor's in ECE or related field.
• Preferred knowledge of the High Scope curriculum, Learning Without Tears Curriculum and Conscious Discipline. On-site training is provided.
• Must have High School Diploma & be over 18 years of age to meet licensing regulations. All applicants must have or be willing to complete the following:
• Current health status form
• Negative TB test

• Training Courses:

  KCCTO Foundations Module and first aid/cpr - within 30 days of hire or before.
• All employees will complete KBI background checks with fingerprinting.
