Job Description
Full Time Athletic Assistant - Women's Volleyball The Blinn College District is searching for a Full Time Athletic Assistant - Women's Volleyball at our Brenham Campus. Primary Duties and Responsibilities are listed below: Job Summary Work closely with the Women's Volleyball Head Coach in all areas of program management in order to help teach, mentor and monitor all current, former, and future student-athletes involved in the women's volleyball program. Principal Accountabilities Assist in all practices, camps, matches, or events. Ability to travel with team and/or coaching staff to games, events and recruiting functions. Assist in the supervision of extra-curricular activities. Complies sports information, including but not limited to statistics, video analysis, and social media, as assigned. Assists with promotions and marketing of the Blinn College athletic program. Helps maintain the athletic equipment and facilities. Assists with scouting, recruiting, and other work related duties. Attend all required meetings with Athletic Director. Assist in supervising the strength and conditioning program. Assist in the supervision of the college's residence halls and dining hall. Adhere to and comply with all Blinn College policies and procedures. Adhere to and comply with all NJCAA rules and regulations. Available to aid in areas of program management including oversight of academic progress, apparel procurement/management/inventory, and fall/spring competition scheduling. Perform other related tasks as assigned. Minimum Qualifications/ Required Degree, License or Certifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or relevant certification. Minimum Competencies Experience in assisting in the assigned sport. Ability to effectively motivate, teach, and supervise students. Ability to maintain a professional relationship with students and peers. Ability to fully comply with NJCAA rules and regulations. Ability to fully comply with Blinn College policies and procedures. Current Texas driver's license or ability to obtain one and per Blinn requirements, ability to drive on behalf of the college. Experience with social media. Experience with HUDEL, Volleymetrics, and/or Ball Time video software. Preferred Qualification Preferred Competencies Coaching or playing experience at the Junior College level Coaching or playing experience at the NCAA Division 1, 2, or 3 level Previous collegiate recruiting experience. Knowledge of and experience working with/for Texas high school or club volleyball programs. Special Notes To Applicants This is a 12 month, benefits-eligible position. Blinn College pays 100% of health insurance for full-time employees, 50% for dependents, and two times your annual salary in life insurance benefits. Optional coverage can begin on your first active duty date.
