Job Description
•We are moving to a beautiful, new office. Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Full-Time Dental Hygienist and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and promoting optimal oral health. In this energetic and rewarding position, you will utilize your expertise to perform thorough dental cleanings, patient assessments, and education while supporting the overall efficiency of our dental practice. Your dedication will help create a welcoming environment where patients feel confident and cared for at every visit. Duties Perform comprehensive dental hygiene procedures including prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, periodontal probing and polishing to maintain oral health. Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical histories, and evaluating oral conditions to develop personalized treatment plans. Assist with chairside procedures in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry, ensuring smooth workflow through four-handed dentistry techniques. Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays, CBCTs, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation review in compliance with HIPAA regulations and office policies. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong oral health habits. Adhere to infection control standards using aseptic techniques and ensure all dental equipment is sterilized according to industry guidelines. Perform preventative duties such as sealants, SDF, and Curodont application. Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice in a dental setting. Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems Eaglesoft for documentation and medical coding purposes. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, and medical terminology relevant to dental care. Experience in pediatric dentistry is preferred, along with familiarity with dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting. Ability to perform patient care tasks efficiently while maintaining a compassionate approach tailored to pediatric patients when necessary. Prior experience working in a dental clinic or dental office setting demonstrating excellent patient care skills.
