Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Full-Time Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in dental assisting, with expertise in chairside procedures, infection control, and dental documentation. EFDA License required . This role offers an opportunity to work in a patient-centered and team centered environment where you can utilize your technical skills and contribute to delivering exceptional dental care. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a wide range of dental procedures, including restorative, prosthodontic, endodontic, and pediatric treatments. Prepare treatment rooms with appropriate instruments and materials, maintaining strict aseptic techniques. Take dental X-rays to assist in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Manage patient records using systems such as ascend or Dentrix while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Perform vital signs assessments and document medical histories to ensure patient safety and proper treatment protocols. Support infection control protocols by sterilizing instruments and maintaining a clean clinical environment. Provide chairside assistance with four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize workflow efficiency. Educate patients on post-treatment care and dental terminology to promote understanding and compliance. Collaborate with the dental team for consistency Assist in the use of advanced technology such as 3D scanners and other digital imaging tools for comprehensive diagnostics. Requirements Certified EFDA with valid licensure or certification recognized by state dental boards. Proven experience in dental assisting Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques. Familiarity with systems such as , Dentrix, or ascend for managing records. Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while adhering to safety standards. Experience supporting various specialties like prosthodontics, endodontics, or pediatric dentistry is preferred. Excellent communication skills combined with a professional demeanor when interacting with patients and team members. Knowledge of dental terminology, and documentation standards related to dental care. Pay:
$25.00 - $28.00 per hour
