Duties Develop and deliver comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards across subjects such as literacy, math, science, and history all deeply rooted in the Bible. Utilize diverse teaching methods and learning technologies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities. Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and behavior management techniques in a grace-based environment. Assess student progress regularly using formative and summative evaluations, including standardized testing and informal assessments. Provide individualized support and tutoring to students who need extra help, including those with special education needs or on the autism spectrum. Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists to develop tailored educational plans that support each child's academic and spiritual growth. Incorporate early childhood education principles and classical methods where applicable to foster developmentally appropriate learning experiences. Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, literacy education, physical education, and other relevant areas. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress reports, and behavioral incidents in accordance with school policies. Participate in school administration meetings, curriculum development initiatives, and extracurricular activities to enrich the student experience. Skills Proven classroom management skills with the ability to create an organized, respectful learning environment. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators. Expertise in curriculum development across core subjects including literacy education and math instruction. Experience working with children of diverse backgrounds and needs, including early intervention strategies for young learners. Knowledge of learning technology tools to enhance instructional delivery and student engagement. Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and data analysis for academic assessment purposes. Ability to mentor new teachers or student teachers while fostering a collaborative team atmosphere. Experience working with individuals with exceptionalities is highly desirable. Writing skills necessary for preparing detailed lesson plans, progress reports, and communication materials. Strong understanding of childhood development principles to support holistic student growth in social-emotional areas as well as academics.
