Pocahontas Community Hospital is seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our Emergency Medical Services team as a full-time AEMT, or EMT. If you are passionate about providing high-quality pre-hospital care and are looking for a supportive environment to grow your career, we want to hear from you!

Duties:

Provide pre-hospital care to the sick and injured. Assist in the Emergency Room (ER) and other hospital areas as time permits. Perform ER responsibilities, including: Carrying out medical orders and procedures. Patient documentation. Medication administration within your scope of practice. Engage in physical activities such as lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, sitting, crouching, kneeling, reaching, and driving. Maintain effective communication and utilize computer systems for documentation and reporting.

Qualifications:

Current Iowa AEMT, or EMT certification. Valid CPR certification. Chauffeur's driver's license with an excellent driving record. AEMTs and EMTs must obtain Paramedic certification within 2 years of hire. Commitment to providing exceptional patient care and teamwork.
