Physical. Full-Time Firefighter / Paramedic The duties and responsibilities are responding to all types of emergencies, conducting drills for EMS and firefighting, assisting with fire prevention activities, and maintaining facilities, grounds and equipment. This position works a 48/96 shift schedule and has the opportunity for promotion to Lieutenant. Full- Time Firefighters are represented by the International Association of Firefighters, IAFF Local 851. There is one open position, and we are establishing a hiring list. To qualify for this position, you will need:
- NFPA Firefighter I
- Oregon Paramedic
- Wildland Interface Firefighter Type II
- NFPA Driver and Apparatus Operator Equipped with a Pump
NFPA Hazardous Materials Operations Salary & Benefits:
Wages $64,421- $75,024 includes FLSA Pay Benefits package including:
- Medical + Dental + Vision for employee and family
- 100% paid by the City.
HRA VEBA
contributions- paid by the City of Oakridge
- City provided Life Insurance Benefit
- $50,000
- Employees accrue vacation/holiday starting at 264 hours per year
- 24 hours of sick time per month
- Oregon PERS is 100% paid as the City pays both the Employee's and Employer's 6%
- Employees can participate in a Deferred Compensation Plan
