Full-Time Sous Chef $22-28/hr (based on exp) Broadmead | Cockeysville, MD Broadmead is seeking a skilled and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary leadership team. Under the direction of the Executive Chef, this role is responsible for all hot food production across Holly Terrace, Health Care, Arbor Café, and Special Functions—ensuring exceptional quality, safety, and consistency in every meal we serve. What You'll Do Lead and supervise hot cook staff in daily food production Oversee preparation of soups, stocks, sauces, gravies, and hot menu items Ensure recipe compliance, portion control, proper garnishing, and use of high-quality ingredients Maintain production records and ensure safe operation of kitchen equipment Conduct daily staff huddles to share updates and address concerns Ensure compliance with HACCP, food safety, and sanitation standards Step in to manage kitchen operations in the absence of the Executive Chef What We're Looking For Minimum 4 years of hot cook experience , including 2 years in an institutional setting At least 2 years of supervisory experience Strong knowledge of knife skills, bulk meat handling, food quality, and doneness Solid understanding of food safety, sanitation, and ServSafe standards Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work independently ServSafe certification (required) and sanitation certification If you're a hands-on culinary leader who thrives in a team-oriented environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality food with purpose, Broadmead is the place for you . 👉 Apply today and help shape exceptional dining experiences at Broadmead.
