Through September 1, with potential for extension Position Overview A warm and active family in Madeira is seeking an experienced, energetic, and adaptable full-time nanny to support care for four children (ages 8, 5, 3, and 16 months) throughout the summer. This is a collaborative household, and the ideal candidate will be comfortable working alongside parents and other family members who may be present in the home. Responsibilities Provide attentive, engaging care for four children across a range of ages Plan and lead age-appropriate activities including outdoor play, creative projects, and imaginative play Prepare children's lunches and snacks Maintain structure and routines, including nap time for younger children and quiet time for older children Support emotional development with a nurturing but firm approach Assist with light household tasks related to the children (tidying, organization, children's laundry) Adapt to a dynamic environment and shift between childcare and household support as needed Typical Schedule Children eat breakfast prior to nanny's arrival Morning play and activities, followed by snack Lunch preparation around 11:30 AM Afternoon naps for younger children; quiet time for older children During downtime: assist with cleanup, organization, and laundry Ideal Candidate Has experience caring for multiple children at once (required) Energetic, organized, and proactive Nurturing yet able to set clear, consistent boundaries Comfortable managing a range of personalities and "big feelings" Flexible and team-oriented, especially in a home with multiple adults present Comfortable working in a Catholic faith-centered household

Experience supporting families navigating medical situations Additional Information This is a meaningful role focused on maintaining a stable, engaging environment for the children while the family navigates a medical situation. The mother will be involved as able, and the nanny should be comfortable stepping in with both sensitivity and initiative.
