Job Description
Waldorf University invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position in Education . The department seeks candidates with a broad foundation in Secondary or K-12 Education and welcomes additional endorsement areas that complement program needs (e.g., Physical Education, Math, Language Arts, Social Studies, ESL/ELL). The successful candidate will bring passion and demonstrate excellence in teaching undergraduate courses. Knowledge and experience in licensure process is an asset. Appointment begins August 3, 2026. Waldorf's Education Department seeks to build on a tradition of excellence in teacher preparation while looking to the future and responding to changing environments. The Education Department supports students' unique gifts and interests by offering a wide variety of teaching endorsements.
Candidates should possess the following:
Earned doctorate preferred; master's degree with experience and commitment to complete a terminal degree considered. Minimum five years of licensed K-12 learner-centered teaching experience. The ability to engage learners with dynamic lessons either on campus or online. The ability to relate well with students, colleagues, and the larger university community. Excellent communication skills. Ability to work successfully either independently or collaboratively. Commitment and enthusiasm for the welfare of students, both curricular and extracurricular. Commitment and enthusiasm for ongoing professional development and program improvement. The ability to effectively advise and mentor students. Eagerness to serve on campus-wide committees and support the overall advancement of Waldorf University and the Education Department, including assisting with Departmental responsibilities. Familiarity with teacher certification, program review, and accreditation is desired.Benefits:
