Full/Part Time Local Transportation driver - Eastvale/Bloomington Area

Local driver - 3 year experience of Class A is required. Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and skilled Local Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials within a designated area, ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires excellent driving skills, a strong understanding of vehicle operation, and the ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients. Duties Operate various types of commercial vehicles, including box trucks, flatbeds, and dump trucks, to transport goods safely. Load and unload cargo using equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks. Follow designated routes for deliveries while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and delivery receipts. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise. Assist with moving heavy equipment or freight as needed. Provide exceptional customer service during interactions with clients. Qualifications Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is preferred; experience in shuttle driving or delivery driving is a plus. Strong mechanical knowledge of commercial vehicles and heavy equipment operation. Experience with manual transmission vehicles is advantageous. Familiarity with paratransit services or school bus driving is a plus. Ability to operate various types of forklifts and heavy machinery safely. Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and customers effectively. Previous warehouse experience or route driving experience is desirable. Must be able to lift heavy loads and perform physical tasks associated with moving freight. A military background may be beneficial but is not required.
