Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Hydro Colon Therapist, where you will play a vital role in delivering specialized colon hydrotherapy treatments that promote detoxification, improve gastrointestinal health, and enhance overall well-being. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive environment dedicated to holistic health, combining clinical expertise with compassionate patient care. As a Hydro Colon Therapist, you will utilize your knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to develop personalized care plans and ensure safe, effective therapy sessions for diverse patient populations, including pediatrics, geriatrics, and those in outpatient or home health settings. Responsibilities Conduct thorough assessments of patients' health histories and current conditions to determine suitability for colon hydrotherapy treatments. Develop and implement individualized care plans that align with patients' health goals and medical needs. Administer colon hydrotherapy sessions using state-of-the-art equipment, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and hygiene standards. Educate patients on the benefits of therapy, post-treatment care, and lifestyle modifications to support ongoing health improvements. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate discharge planning, integrate therapy into broader care strategies, and support patients transitioning between inpatient, outpatient, or home settings. Maintain accurate documentation of treatments, patient progress, and clinical notes within electronic medical record (EMR) systems. Stay informed about advances in physiology, anatomy, trigger point therapy, orthopedics, and related fields to continually enhance treatment quality. Skills Strong understanding of physiology and anatomy relevant to gastrointestinal health and detoxification processes. Proven experience in discharge planning and care coordination across inpatient, outpatient, hospital, clinic, or home health environments. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively about complex medical concepts in a clear and compassionate manner. Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures related to hydrotherapy and physiotherapy practices. Familiarity with EMR systems for accurate record keeping and documentation. Experience working with diverse populations including pediatrics and geriatrics in various healthcare settings. Ability to perform trigger point therapy techniques and apply orthopedic principles when appropriate.
