Duties Assist funeral directors with planning and coordinating funeral services, including logistics and setup Provide compassionate bereavement support to grieving families, offering comfort and guidance during difficult times Help organize memorial events and coordinate necessary arrangements such as transportation, floral displays, and documentation Perform heavy lifting when handling caskets, equipment, or supplies to ensure safe and efficient operations Support sales efforts by explaining services to families and assisting with product selections in a sensitive manner Maintain cleanliness and organization of the funeral home environment to uphold a respectful atmosphere Collaborate with team members to ensure all aspects of the funeral service are executed seamlessly from start to finish Skills Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide empathetic bereavement support Experience or interest in funeral directing or event planning is highly desirable Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a physically demanding environment Excellent organizational skills for coordinating multiple tasks simultaneously Effective communication skills for interacting with families, team members, and vendors Sales aptitude with a respectful approach to explaining services and options to clients Flexibility to adapt quickly in a dynamic setting while maintaining professionalism This role is ideal for motivated individuals who want to make a positive impact during life's most sensitive moments.
