Job Description

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
The Inspector is responsible for monitoring the procedures, standards, systems and policies of the Coeur d'Alene Tribal Bingo/Casino and ensuring that they are in compliance with the minimum internal control standards that have been approved by the Coeur d'Alene Tribal Gaming Board. Must be able to perform all duties and assigned tasks in a timely and independent manner and must assume a sense of ownership over all tasks. Knowledge of filing systems, office procedures and operation of general office equipment. Knowledge of IBM Systems including but not limited to; Microsoft Office and Microsoft Outlook. Must represent the Gaming Board in a manner that reflects the highest of professional standards and promotes a positive image of the Tribe and its administration at all times.
Personal Characteristics:
Ability to preserve the confidentiality of all information and material either generated or obtained while conduction inspections or investigations. Ability to develop and maintain working relationships with law enforcement agencies. Ability to develop and maintain working relationships with Coeur d'Alene Bingo/Casino departments and employees. Ability to learn, understand and apply the regulations set forth in the Minimum Internal Control Standards. Demonstrated ability to be a team player. Maintain positive peer relationships and provide assistance in a friendly, helpful manner to all applicants, visitors, and staff. Must be able to work independently, be detail oriented (written and verbal), and have consistent attendance record. Must be able to work various shifts (day, swing, and graveyard), including holidays and weekends (work schedule to be determined by Supervisor). Must be culturally sensitive to a diverse customer population and able to interact tactfully and positively with Tribal members, gaming clientele, and all levels of tribal staff and management.
Major Responsibilities:
Monitors Bingo/Casino operations. Determines Bingo/Casino compliance with the Minimum Internal Control Standards. Prepares reports and supporting schedules related to inspection activities. Performs special inspections and investigations as circumstances warrant. Identifies deficiencies in the Minimum Internal Control Standards and recommends appropriate changes. May be required to receive public complaints and direct patrons to the appropriate Bingo/Casino official that can satisfy such complaints. Checks employee licenses on a test basis as determined by the Compliance Officer. Will examine, test, and inspect gaming equipment on a test basis as determined by the Compliance Officer. Monitor the storage, issuance, and destruction of gaming equipment. Perform other duties as assigned to promote the efficiency and effectiveness of the department.
Minimum Requirements:
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must support the Coeur d'
Alene Tribe's:
vision, mission, and core values per CDA Resolution 015(2020). Comply with all other Health policies established by the Tribe or department, including the annual flu shot. Must apply for, obtain, and hold in good standing a Coeur d'Alene Tribal Gaming Board Class "A" License. Must be able to write comprehensive daily reports by utilizing Microsoft Office Suite computer program. Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time.
Supervision :
The Investigator is Supervised by the Director of the Coeur d'Alene Tribal Gaming Board.

The Coeur d'Alene Tribe reserves the right to hire according to its Indian Preference Policy. Applicants are subject to a pre-employment drug test and at-random testing following employment. Positions with the Coeur d'Alene Tribe are subject to a 6-month orientation period.
