GARDEN CENTER MERCHANDISER

This role will service the following Home Depot location(s): 310 State Hwy 36 Ste 100, West Long Branch, NJ 07764 Schedule & Seasonal Information This is a seasonal position with hours that fluctuate based on demand. While some weeks may offer up to 40 hours, others may have fewer. There is a temporary layoff period beginning approximately one week before Christmas, with work resuming in February or early March. Saturday availability is required during peak seasons (spring/early summer and around major holidays) The Role We are seeking self-motivated, detail-oriented Merchandisers to enhance the visual appeal and organization of our retail garden centers. You will be responsible for following planograms to ensure the effective presentation and maintenance of live shrubs, trees, roses, and seasonal items. By maintaining high standards of plant care and providing exceptional customer service, you will play a key role in maximizing sales. As a Garden Center Merchandiser, your workday will include: Display plant material according to set standards Building, setting and taking down seasonal displays Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the garden center to create an inviting shopping environment. Maintain and help sell plant material, which may include watering, signing, & pruning Effectively communicate with supervisor, store employees and other service teams Assist customers with inquiries regarding plant care and product selection Requirements Minimum age of 18 Capacity to work in a fast paced environment Excellent communication & organizational skills Positive attitude Able to stand, walk, kneel, squat, and bend over consistently throughout the day Able to lift up to 50 lbs. consistently throughout the day Reliable transportation & valid driver's license Customer service experience Join our team as a Garden Center Merchandiser and contribute to creating a vibrant shopping experience for our customers while showcasing your creativity in garden design!
