Job Summary Under the direction of the Supervisor, Gardening and Grounds keeping, performs a variety of grounds maintenance and gardening duties in the beautification of assigned grounds and landscaped areas; maintains grounds for events and recreational activities as assigned; provides support to other grounds personnel in the performance of work assignments Requirements / Qualifications Dual-Merged 2526-52 Under the direction of the Supervisor, Gardening and Grounds keeping, performs a variety of grounds maintenance and gardening duties in the beautification of assigned grounds and landscaped areas; maintains grounds for events and recreational activities as assigned; provides support to other grounds personnel in the performance of work assignments An examination will be given to establish an eligibility list for the position of Gardener in order to fill current and future vacancies. These positions are 8 hours/day for 260 days/year. The eligibility list will be valid for 6 months or until exhausted (whichever comes first). Faxed materials are not acceptable.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school or equivalent GED and one year of experience in gardening, nursery, or grounds-maintenance work.
