Gas Station cashier

Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Gas Station Attendant and Cashier, where you'll be the friendly face greeting customers and ensuring their experience is smooth, efficient, and positive. Duties Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process sales quickly and accurately, including cash handling and credit card transactions Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and assist with product demos or recommendations to enhance their shopping experience Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store area, including stocking shelves and merchandising products effectively Upsell additional items or services to increase sales and improve customer satisfaction Ensure proper inventory management by monitoring stock levels and assisting with restocking as needed Promote safety protocols at the station, including phone etiquette when communicating with customers or team members over the radio or phone Provide exceptional customer service by addressing concerns promptly, guiding customers through their purchases, and ensuring a positive shopping experience Requirements Previous retail sales or cashiering experience preferred; familiarity with POS systems is a plus Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers confidently in bilingual environments if applicable Experience supervising or leading team members is advantageous but not required Basic math skills for handling cash transactions, making change, and balancing registers accurately Knowledge of grocery store operations or retail environments is beneficial Ability to stand for extended periods, perform physical tasks such as stocking shelves, and maintain a high level of attention to detail Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills to foster positive customer interactions This role is perfect for motivated individuals who thrive in lively environments and enjoy helping others.
