Description:
Job Summary The Gas Turbine Mechanic performs hands-on inspection, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of gas turbines and related equipment in a shop-based environment. This role is critical to ensuring equipment operates safely, reliably, and efficiently. This is an onsite position at a fixed facility (not a field service role). You'll be part of a hands-on team focused on quality rebuild and repair work—no travel, just real work in a shop environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on gas turbines and associated equipment Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system issues, and identify root causes Execute preventive maintenance activities to minimize downtime and extend equipment life Follow all safety protocols, procedures, and applicable industry standards Document maintenance, repair, and inspection activities accurately and in a timely manner Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to optimize turbine performance Assist with installation, commissioning, and testing of turbine units and components Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Perform other duties as assignedRequirements:
Qualifications Experience as a Gas Turbine Mechanic or in a similar role within power generation or an industrial environment Working knowledge of gas turbine systems, components, and maintenance practices Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and engineering drawings Proficiency with diagnostic tools and testing equipment Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Effective communication skills Education and Certifications Technical training or certification in mechanical, electrical, or related field preferred Relevant industry certifications are a plus Physical Requirements Ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights as required Work Environment Onsite, industrial setting with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures This role is based at a fixed facility; travel is not a regular requirementSimilar remote jobs
