Job Description

The Physical Therapy Aide will help increase, expand, and/or enhance health programs and services by helping patients and/or clients along in the intake process, model mental health coping skills and strategies needed for resiliency, while actively listening for indicators that the patient needs access to mental health resources and discreetly providing those resources to the patient. The Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) is a professional entry-level degree program preparing students for licensure to practice as physical therapists. The program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE). Duties may include the following during classroom, practicum and affiliation experiences:
Position Duties:
  • Provide access to quality physical therapy services.
  • Institute correct program practices while providing care quality, and assessing the patient and while giving correct guidance on patient outcomes.
  • Serve state and regional public needs in physical therapy under proper licensed supervision deemed by the ISU Physical Therapy program.
  • Hand out mental health resources
Member Duties :
