Job Description
Job Summary Maisy Railing is seeking a driven and relationship-focused Regional Sales Manager to grow our presence with lumberyards, building supply dealers, and professional contractors across assigned territories. This role is responsible for developing new B2B accounts, strengthening existing partnerships, and driving revenue through consultative selling of American-made railing systems. The ideal candidate has experience selling building materials or construction products, thrives in outside sales, and understands how to win shelf space, contractor loyalty, and repeat orders. You will work closely with ownership, operations, and marketing to expand Maisy Railing's footprint while delivering exceptional service to our dealer and contractor partners. Responsibilities Develop and execute regional sales strategies to grow revenue with lumberyards, dealers, and contractor accounts. Establish new B2B relationships through cold outreach, in-person visits, jobsite visits, trade events, and networking. Manage and expand existing accounts by increasing product adoption, line penetration, and reorder frequency. Conduct product training, demonstrations, and presentations for lumberyard staff, contractors, and builders. Educate partners on product advantages, installation methods, pricing programs, and lead times. Utilize CRM tools to track leads, opportunities, account activity, and sales performance. Negotiate pricing programs, stocking agreements, and promotional opportunities with dealers. Plan and manage territory activity, including travel, account routing, and follow-ups to maximize coverage and efficiency. Collaborate with marketing on dealer promotions, contractor programs, displays, and regional campaigns. Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring fast responses and long-term relationship management. Gather market intelligence on competitors, pricing, and customer feedback to refine sales strategy and product positioning. Support onboarding and training of additional sales reps as the team scales. Qualifications Proven success in B2B outside sales , preferably within building materials, construction products, manufacturing, or distribution. Experience selling to lumberyards, supply houses, contractors, builders, or designers strongly preferred. Strong relationship-building and account management skills with a consultative sales approach. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities. Comfortable conducting product demos and training in showrooms, yards, and on jobsites. Proficiency with CRM software for pipeline management and reporting (Salesforce or similar). Self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing a large territory independently. Analytical mindset with the ability to use sales data and market feedback to drive decisions. Willingness to travel regularly within assigned territory.
