Job Description

Shepherd Public Schools is looking to fill a position for General Aide and Kitchen Duty at our Odyssey Middle/High School location. Odyssey Middle/High School is an Alternative Education Program for middle and high school students. It is located on Wise Road in the school forest. Four teachers provide education to about 70 students.
Summary:
Assists with preparing instructional materials, supporting students, and implementing learning activities as directed by the teacher. Prepares and serves breakfast; and ensures students who order lunch receive their meals. 7:00 a.m. - 2:45 p.m. Monday through Thursday, (up to 29.5 hours per week); schedule may vary based on school closures or special events.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent Reporting to work when scheduled, on time, in full uniform with exceptional personal hygiene Carrying out all daily tasks in a manner that advances Shepherd Schools vision and goals Reliable, dependable, detail oriented and ability to multitask Must have a working knowledge of basic math applications and computer skills First Aid/CPR training preferred ServSafe training preferred
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Experience with SRC practices, trauma informed practices, at-risk youth, data collection and reporting, record keeping, alternative education, computers, learning software and/or project-based learning preferred Flexible as duties may vary Follow all food safety and physical rules Maintain accurate records or meals served and deposits made Physical tasks are intermittent; sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, pushing, pulling, carrying, reaching, lifting and lowering 1 to 40 lbs, repetitive motion for hand, wrist and elbow Additional cleaning duties are carried out as required on a need by need basis in accordance with Shepherd Public Schools sanitation program and master cleaning schedule Treat fellow associates and customers with respect and kindness
