General Counsel

Case-Mate is a leading consumer products company known for designing premium tech accessories and various lifestyle products that blend fashion and function. As we continue to scale our brand and global footprint, we're hiring our first-ever in-house counsel to build and lead the legal function from the ground up. The Opportunity This is a rare chance to step into a foundational role where you'll shape the legal strategy of a growing consumer brand. Reporting directly to the CEO, you'll serve as the company's primary legal advisor across all business functions and have meaningful influence on how we operate, grow, and protect what we've built. We're looking for an attorney with a strong foundation of law firm and/or in-house experience who is ready to step into a broader, more autonomous role preferably with prior experience in Intellectual Property, managing litigation affairs, business contracts and/or M&A. Responsibilities

• Own and defend the company's growing intellectual property portfolio — managing trademark, copyright, patent, and design rights portfolios, including filings, renewals, enforcement, and anti-counterfeiting efforts
• Advise on consumer product regulatory matters, product safety, labeling, advertising, and e-commerce compliance
• Review and advise on all business contracts with the company
• Manage outside counsel relationships and legal spend across litigation, IP, employment, and specialized matters
• Provide counsel on employment and HR-related legal issues in partnership with People Operations
• Support corporate governance, strategic partnerships, and other business initiatives as needed
• Advise on data privacy and security matters
• Develop and implement company-wide policies, training, and risk management practices
• Serve as a trusted business partner to leaders across sales, marketing, product, operations, and finance What We're Looking For
• J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing (Georgia preferred; ability to register as in-house counsel in GA required); Always mention GoInhouse.com when submitting your application
• 3+ years of legal experience at a law firm and/or in-house
• Hands-on drafting and review experience with commercial contracts
• Experience managing or supporting trademark, patent and broader IP portfolios
• Practical, business-minded approach — you know when to flag risk and when to help find a path forward
• Comfort operating as a department of one, with the judgment to know what to handle in-house and when to bring in specialists
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to translate legal complexity into clear business guidance
• High integrity, strong ownership, and the ability to thrive in a fast-moving consumer brand environment
