Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a General Laborer with an OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) Card, supporting operations at the port of <

>. In this vital role, you will be actively involved in heavy equipment operation, cargo handling, and sanitation tasks to ensure smooth port activities. $13/ PER
HOUR SCHEDULE
:
MONDAY - FRIDAY & SATURDAYS AS NEEDED FULL TIME & OVERTIME HOURS
Duties Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, forklifts, front loader trucks, roll-off trucks, garbage trucks, and other machinery safely and efficiently. Assist with loading and unloading cargo containers, shipments, and materials using appropriate equipment. Perform sanitation duties including cleaning work areas, debris removal, and waste management to maintain a safe port environment. Conduct heavy lifting tasks involving cargo, equipment, or materials to support port operations. Support port logistics by managing roll-off containers and ensuring proper placement and disposal of waste or recyclable materials. Maintain safety protocols during all operations, including proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and adherence to OSHA standards. Assist with general labor tasks such as site cleanup, material handling, and supporting other team members as needed to keep operations running smoothly. Qualifications Valid OSHA Card demonstrating knowledge of workplace safety standards. Experience operating heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, forklifts, or similar machinery preferred. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including heavy lifting and extended periods of standing or walking. Prior experience in manufacturing or port environments is advantageous. Strong commitment to safety procedures and teamwork. Basic understanding of sanitation practices related to port or industrial settings. Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
