Sgt-Scrap is a Scrap yard that offers CASH in hand for different materials that range from steel, copper, aluminum, insulated wire and brass. As we are growing on expanding, we are looking to hire more personnel for our Scrap yard that is located in Pennsauken. We need Laborers to be upgrading various materials that we are purchasing from the general public and to organize them in the set boxes we have through out the yard. We will train and educate you on the procedures we take in the yard to ensure it stays safe and cleanly for all of our employees and our customers. As you are trained and become more autonomous and educated we will have an employee evaluation from 1-3 months from your employment to discuss pay raises and you gaining more responsibilities. Our starting rate ranges from $17-18 dollars an hour depending on your education in regards to the materials of scrap and what capabilities and experience you have. If you have experience in this field then your rate may change. Your responsibilities are as follows but are subject to change as the wants and needs of the business change: Helping clear the scale Sorting material and emptying carts into the appropriate boxes Cleaning the yard Following responsibilities your supervisor gives you Coming prepared to work with the appropriate gear (Cable Cutters, magnet, Box Cutter, Work gloves and Hi-Vis Shirt) Baling Material Upgrading Material Setting up Boxes Your responsibilities will increase the more initiative you show and with those responsibilities increasing the higher you will climb in the company. This is by no means a dead-end job as there is no ceiling for this company and with enough hard work and dedication you can end up running an entire location with a crew of your own! This job is grueling mentally and physically as you will be outside for the majority of the day doing physical labor in the heat and cold. To be considered for the position you must be able to: Lift 80-120 over your shoulder Push and pull an excess of 2000 pounds of material Be on your feet for 6-8 Hours Identify and assess your workload and work through it efficiently

We are offering full-time and part time positions with flexible scheduling 6-9 hour workdays with a half hour break Work 5-6 Days out of the week (Saturdays/Sunday availability is a MUST) We will help you build a schedule that is beneficial for both you and the company
