Job Description
Position Summary Beach Happy Café is seeking an energetic, hands-on, and hospitality-driven General Manager / Operations Manager to lead daily operations and ensure an exceptional guest experience. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of café operations, including team leadership, customer service, financial performance, and maintaining the welcoming culture that defines Beach Happy Café. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys mentoring teams, and is passionate about creating memorable guest experiences. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Development Recruit, train, coach, and develop staff to maintain high performance and company standards. Foster a positive, accountable team culture. Create and manage schedules to ensure coverage and control labor costs. Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations. Daily Operations Oversee all café operations to ensure smooth, efficient service. Maintain cleanliness, organization, and operational standards. Ensure consistent execution of opening, mid-shift, and closing procedures. Enforce company policies and service standards. Guest Experience Deliver exceptional hospitality and customer service. Resolve guest concerns quickly and professionally. Build relationships with regular guests and support community engagement. Financial & Administrative Management Manage labor, food, and operating costs to meet budget goals. Monitor daily sales, cash handling, and deposits. Support forecasting, reporting, and payroll accuracy. Inventory & Vendor Management Oversee ordering, inventory, and product quality. Manage vendor relationships and delivery schedules. Reduce waste and maintain cost control. Compliance & Safety Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards. Maintain required licenses and operational documentation. Promote a safe and compliant work environment. Qualifications 2+ years management experience in restaurant, café, or hospitality preferred. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage financial and operational goals. Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Food safety certification preferred or willingness to obtain. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Pay:
$50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per yearBenefits:
