Retail Sales Associate

Job Summary Join the fun! As a member of our team, help create memories for customers through fun, engaging interactions, product selection and suggestion, and operational support. Well known in the community as THE place for fun items, art, home decor, artful accessories and more, the Art of Simple is looking for dynamic additions to the team for summer! Duties Greet customers and provide expert advice on gifts, home decor, accessories, and treasures. Engage in genuine interaction with locals and tourists alike, providing all with a fun shopping experience that mirrors the energy of the shop. Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process sales transactions accurately while handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods. Maintain organized shelves by stocking inventory, keeping displays and the shop clean and attractive. Support inventory management through stock checks, inventory counts, and assisting with product replenishment to keep the sales floor fully stocked. Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries promptly and resolving any issues with professionalism and enthusiasm. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and contribute to a positive store atmosphere that motivates everyone to excel. Qualifications Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service is preferred but not required; a passion for art and decor a plus! Strong communication skills for working with both team and clients. Excellent organizational skills to manage stocking routines and maintain an orderly sales environment. Ability to handle cash accurately and perform cashier duties confidently while providing friendly service. A proactive attitude with the flexibility to the needs of the business. Potential for set-semi set schedule.
